Caravel-Yachtworks Turkey: a new partnership

On its way to build a large network of dealers all over the world, Caravel s.r.l. is very pleased to announce a new partnership with the Turkish shipyard Yachtworks.

Through this weel-known and experienced shipyard team we would like to give our products the chance to be appreciated in a market which is growing and expanding rapidly.

Thanks to Yachtworks experience you can get in a very short time all the information you need about our water lubricated bearings together with a wide range of bearings immediately available at the turkish premises.

From now on, Yachtworks will be the exclusive dealer for standard-dimensions bearings included in our official list of products for marine applications.

New ISO 9001:2008 certification

In December 2013 Caravel was certified by R.I.N.A. according to the ISO 9001 standards. The decision to choose the R.I.N.A. as a trustworthy authority in the field of certification has been taken in order to complete the ISO certification with more specific certifications which Caravel is now preparing. More news during the next weeks.

Caravel at EUROPORT 2013

Caravel will be attending the Europort 2013 Exhibition in Ahoy Rotterdam from 5 to 8 November the Europort Exhibition.

We will be located on booth 8015 with our water lubricated bearings for propeller shafts (dimensions from 100 to 500 mm).

Caravel at the Genova Boat Show

Caravel will take part to the 52nd edition of the Genova Boat Show (6-14 October).

You can visit our stand (M19 - Padiglione C - Atrio Superiore).

There you will find our new PVC bearings and our usual products, such as brass and rubber bearings, aluminium bearings and the three puller-fitter models.

Some samples of our anti-vibration silent blocks will be available.

Caravel: quality bearings

Caravel has a very long tradition in terms of high quality products. The reliability of its bearings is recognized by clients from all Europe, Far and Middle East and are mounted in hydroelectric power stations, nuclear power plants, large turbines, where duration and reliability are also proven by detailed inspection plans.

Caravel can supply bearings for marine or industrial applications according to the tests included in the UNI 10250 and can provide raw material certificates according to the UNI 10204 standard. Third party inspection are also available on single job by Lloyd's, RINA, Bureau Veritas. The company works with ISO 9001 certified suppliers whose quality and performance are constantly checked.

51st Genova Boat Show

Caravel will take part to the 51st edition of the Genova Boat Show (1-10 October).

You can visit our stand (M19 nel Padiglione C - Atrio Superiore).

There you will find our new plastic bearings, a valid alternative to resin. You can also see our usual products, such as brass and rubber bearings, aluminium bearings and the three puller-fitter models.

A short clip will explain the advantages of using this wonderful machine.

You can also ask for technical documents and details and see non standard bearings planned for pumps and turbines.

Plastic and rubber bearings

According to the clients' requests and suggestions, Caravel has now developed a new rubber bearings line, with outer shell made of PVC.

It is a plastic material fit for marine application.

A valid alternative to the resin, these bearings can be provided in a very short time.

If compared with other materials, their prices are considerably lower.

These bearings have been designed and manufactured following the prescriptions and requirements of well known quality standards about reliability, duration, materials etc.
