51st Genova Boat Show

Caravel will take part to the 51st edition of the Genova Boat Show (1-10 October).
You can visit our stand (M19 nel Padiglione C - Atrio Superiore).
There you will find our new plastic bearings, a valid alternative to resin. You can also see our usual products, such as brass and rubber bearings, aluminium bearings and the three puller-fitter models.
A short clip will explain the advantages of using this wonderful machine.
You can also ask for technical documents and details and see non standard bearings planned for pumps and turbines.

Plastic and rubber bearings

According to the clients' requests and suggestions, Caravel has now developed a new rubber bearings line, with outer shell made of PVC.
It is a plastic material fit for marine application.
A valid alternative to the resin, these bearings can be provided in a very short time.
If compared with other materials, their prices are considerably lower.
These bearings have been designed and manufactured following the prescriptions and requirements of well known quality standards about reliability, duration, materials etc.
Do not hesitate to call us to ask for an offer.

The new T40 bearings puller fitter prototype now ready

Following the very good results achieved by the bearings puller fitter T08 (for bearings with inner diameter not greater than 45 mm) and T13 (for bearings with inner diameter not greater than 80 mm), Caravel has tested the prototype of the T40 model.
This new machine can be used to mount and dismount bearings for shafts with a diameter from 80 to 130 mm (bearings’ outer diameter from 100 to 160 mm).
The thrust it can apply reaches 40,000 kilos.
It can be used to remove old and damaged bearings and to mount new ones on luxury boats and ships with very large dimensions, saving time and labour and in a completely safe way.
Its mechanism does not change if compared with the two smaller models: it is provided upon request with its hydraulic pump and a jack (which is very important, as the machine is very heavy).
Write or call us for more detailed information.
