CARAVEL s.r.l. was established in 1953 in the industrial area of Milan, Italy.
It manufactures metal and rubber bearings for shafts of ships whose dimensions go from 25 mm up to 600 mm.
The shell is usually made of bronze, brass, stainless steel, aluminium or phenolic resine.
It also manufactures chromium plated bushes used in vertical and submersible pumps. Its products can also be used in power and nuclear plants.
The entire productive process of Caravel is based on a high level quality process, also testified by the Lloyd's Register ISO 9001 certification, obtained in 1996.
Caravel has always thousands of standard pics (in terms of dimensions) ready for shipment in its stock but can also manufacture bearings with any dimension, tolerance and material.
Caravel has manufactured up to now more tha 4,000 different types of bearings and chromium plated bushes according to its customers' requirements.
